FAQs

If your question is not here contact me

What can I do to get the best mix possible?

When you request a quote I will ask to hear a rough mix of your song(s) and discuss any concerns you have about the recording.  After you upload tracks for mixing, if I’m hearing anything that I think is a problem area and I can’t fix it for some reason I’ll make recommendations on what I think is the best way to proceed.  That’s pretty rare actually. If you haven’t started recording yet and want some advice on guitar tones, bass tones, drum mic’ing, etc. please feel free to reach out to me.  I want you to get the best mix possible and it all starts with the recorded tracks.

What are your rates?

Go to Engineears.com/mattclarkmixer to get current rates, payment options including financing, and book a mix. Full albums and EPs can be booked one song at a time so you can pay as you go.

How long will it take to complete my project? Can you tell me more about the process?

I always strive to provide quick turnaround times.  Generally speaking, I’m spending a full day on each mix if not more. When you book a mix
you’ll schedule a mix date.  Most mixes are delivered within 2 days.

Where are you located?

I’m in Los Angeles, California. I work with clients worldwide remotely. Usually I do revisions and mix notes via email.

How do I deliver my tracks to you?

What DAW do you mix in? What if I recorded in a different program?

I mix in the latest version of Pro Tools Ultimate. It doesn’t matter which DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) you used to record your project, I can import the files and mix in Pro Tools.  I’ve mixed projects for clients who use Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Reaper, etc.  This is all explained in a track prep pdf guide I will send you when you request a quote.

Will you do a "Test Mix"?

No, I won’t. You can, however, Hear My Work.
